TEHRAN - The French company Total will sign the contract on purchasing services for phase 11 of the South Pars (SP) gas field in the next two weeks, Pars Oil and Gas Company managing director Akbar Torkan said here on Tuesday.

Total will sign the contract on purchasing technical and engineering services for implementation of the development project of SP Phase 11, he told ISNA.

Torkan went on to say that the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has not yet approved the tender for the development project of SP Phase 14.

However, the NIOC has emphasized that it agrees with the project and plans to offer the tender on schedule, he added.

He also explained that Royal Dutch Shell, the Ras al-Khaimah Company, South Africa’s Sasul Company, and an unnamed Indonesian company have voiced interest in cooperating in the development project of SP Phase 14.
